Tournament Information

Welcome, Bladers and Parents! Get ready for a day full of epic battles, cool moves, and non-stop action at our Beyblade X Tournament (for ages 8-13). This guide tells you everything you need to know -from what to bring to how the day will go- so everyone has a safe, fair, and super fun time!

📦 What to Bring

  • 3 Beyblade X Beys
    Bring your favourite Beyblade X beyblades (beys)! Only Beyblade X beys are allowed (no Burst, Metal Fusion, or other series). Use only official Takara Tomy and Hasbro parts, and make sure your beys are in good shape to keep the arena safe. If you don’t have 3 suitable beys, we will lend you enough to fill a deck for each match.

  • Your Launcher & Accessories
    Have your launcher and accessories ready for a strong launch!

  • A Bag or Case
    Keep all your gear together so nothing gets lost.

🗓️ Tournament Day Overview

Who Can Enter:

Our tournament is open to participants aged 8-13. If you have any questions about age requirements, please contact us! (We plan on hosting open age tournaments in the future)

1. Check In

  • When You Arrive:
    Go straight to the check in desk where you will sign in and receive your tournament ID tag.

2. Warm-Up & Free Play Area

  • Warm-Up:
    After checking in, head to the free play area to warm up. Practice your launches and meet other Beyblade fans.

  • Free Play:
    Enjoy free play between matches. Try new moves, fix your bey if it bursts, and have fun with friends while you wait for your next battle!

3. Day’s Activities

  • Opening Talk:
    We'll start with a welcome talk, explain the day’s plan, and review the rules and scoring.

  • Match Battles:
    Battles take place in our official Beyblade X stadiums. Get ready to face off in exciting matches!

  • Free Play Between Matches:
    When waiting for your next match, head to the free play area to practice more and try out your
    techniques.

  • Closing Time:
    If all matches finish before the day ends, free play will continue until pick-up time (3:00PM)

🕒 Event Timeline(Estimated Schedule)

🚪 11:00 PM – Doors Open

  • Arrive early, get settled, and check out the free play area.

📝 11:00 PM – 11:30 PM – Check-In & Warm-Up

  • Sign in, get your battle gear ready, and warm up in the free play area.

⚔ 12:00 PM – Tournament Round 1 Begins

  • Matches start in two or three battle stadiums.

⚔ 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM – Ongoing Battles & Free Play

  • Competitors will be called for their matches while others enjoy free play.

🥇 2:30 PM – Finals & Awards Ceremony

  • The top bladers battle for victory in a First to 7 Points Final.

  • Winners will be announced, and prizes awarded.

👋 3:00 PM – Pick-Up & Event Wrap-Up

  • Parents who dropped off their kids should arrive for pick-up before 3:00 PM

🎮 How the Tournament Works

Match Type

  • 3-on-3
    Players battle with a deck of 3 beys. Each Beyblade in your deck must have a unique Blade, Ratchet, and Bit – no parts may be repeated across your three Beys.

Match Format

  • Standard Matches:
    The first player to reach 5 points wins the match.

  • Final Matches:
    In the finals, the first player to reach 7 points wins.

Scoring System

  • Spin Finish (Opponent’s bey stops spinning first) = 1 point

  • Burst Finish (Opponent’s bey bursts) = 2 points

  • Over Finish (Opponent knocked out of the stadium) = 2 points

  • Xtreme Finish (Opponent knocked out over Xtreme line) = 3 points

⚖️ Equipment & Safety Rules

  • Use Official Parts Only:
    Only use official Takara Tomy and Hasbro parts for your Beyblade X tops. This keeps the game fair and fun for everyone.

  • Good Condition:
    Normal wear is okay, but if your bey is very damaged and might hurt the arena or other beys, it won’t be allowed.

  • Replacement Bey Policy:
    If you don’t have 3 suitable beys that meet the rules when you arrive, we will lend you up to 3 beys to compete with for each match. These replacement beys are just to be used during official matches and must be left with the referee after the match.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if I forget something?
A: Just ask our staff! We might have extra gear you can borrow and brand new gear for purchase.

Q: Can I change my bey during a match?
A: You must switch beys between battles, and you can fix a burst if needed. But you can only switch pieces between matches. Once a bey has been checked by a judge its parts can not be changed.

Q: What if none of my beys are allowed?
A: If none of your Beyblades meet the rules, we’ll lend you a replacement bey from our blind box. This bey is borrowed and must be returned after each match. We also have Beyblades and launchers available for purchase on the day.
